The unofficial start of the 2020 Aggie Baseball season begins this Saturday, February 8th at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park from 10AM to 1PM.
The Brazos County A&M Club in Conjunction with Texas A&M Baseball and Coach Rob Childress are pleased to present the 8th Annual Aggie Lead Off Event.
For the past eight years, Coach Childress has worked with the Brazos County A&M Club and Texas A&M Baseball to provide a special event to mark the start of the baseball season; just prior to the team’s first scrimmage.
The event not only gives fans an opportunity to celebrate Aggie Baseball with the players, staff, and coaches, but it is also used as a fundraiser for the Vs. Cancer foundation.
The event has brought in over one hundred thousand dollars in donations and has helped raise awareness for the fight against pediatric brain tumors.
One of the highlights of the event is the head shaving ceremony, in which the baseball shave their heads in support of the cause.
In addition to the head shaving ceremony, ticket holders will also be given the opportunity to meet and greet members of the team, staff, and coaches.
The Diamond Darlings will be present and leading exclusive tours of the park, and there will be an official yell practice led by the Aggie Yell Leaders.
The Brazos County A&M Club will be grilling up delicious ballpark burgers, dogs, and all the fixings; and there will be a Kid Zone with Bounce Houses and games.
This year’s event will also feature live music by Ben Kadlecek; one of the live acts that will be performing at this year’s Chili Fest.
At one o’clock all attendees are welcome to
attend the Maroon & White Baseball scrimmage for free.
Lead Off 2020 is an event you won’t want to miss!
Today is the last day to buy advanced tickets online! Tickets for the event are $12 for adults and
