Issues Forum featuring Zsolt Németh and Marek Matraszek Presented by The Bush Presidential Library & Museum

The George Bush Library and Museum is pleased to partner with The Hungarian Consulate in Houston to bring Mr. Zsolt Németh, a member of the Hungarian Parliament since the first free and democratic elections in 1990, and Marek Matraszek, Chairman, CEC Government Relations for an Issues Forum on Tuesday, December 3, at 6 p.m.. Mr. Németh and Mr. Matraszek will discuss the end of the Cold War and American-Hungarian relations since the fall of the Iron Curtain.

President George Bush paid a historical visit to Hungary in 1989. The regime-change that started 30 years ago culminated in the free elections in the spring of 1990. Hungary joined NATO in 1999 and became a factor of stability in Central Europe and elsewhere. However current challenges in global stability require close cooperation between allies across the Atlantic.

Admission is free, but seating is limited and reservations are encouraged. Email reservations.bush@nara.gov, or call 979-691-4014 to reserve seats. There is a reception following the event.
