Brazos Valley Project Managers (BVPM) July Meeting

The Brazos Valley Project Managers (BVPM) are pleased to announce our July meetup featuring a presentation by Rashid Kapadia, PMP.

Synopsis: Elements of Risk Management -Insights and Ideas from Prospect Theory and Psychology
In this talk Rashid will look at some significant failures in business, international affairs, industry, and finance (Enron, 2008 Financial Crisis, Eisenhower U-2 crisis, Plane Crashes, Cuban Missile Crisis) and argue that these were also failures of risk management.

Meeting Details: BVPM is a venue of PMI Houston. Our meetings are free & open to everyone and cover a wide range of topics such as leadership, communications, and organizational techniques; beneficial across all industries. You do not need to be a member or a project manager. hors d’oeuvres and networking begin at 5:30PM. The presentation will begin at 6:00PM

Speaker Bio: Rashid N. Kapadia, PMP, is a speaker, project manager, engineer, consultant, and author of “Necessary Bridges: Public Speaking & Storytelling for Project Managers & Engineers”. He is an evangelist for “Public Speaking, & Storytelling” and for “Regular & Disciplined Reading” —and is constantly on the lookout for new knowledge that can be applied to uplift professionals and solve problems.
