BuzzFest

Our Annual BuzzFest is an interactive honey bee festival. Bee Experts from all over Texas will be on hand to help teach and thrill you with all the honey bee blitz humanly possible!

The American Honey Queen and SweetNess Honey will sweeten up the fest with Honey & Wax Experiences. The Texas Honey Queen will be leading Queen Catch Demos alongside our longtime queen expert, Ana Rosa. The King Bee with the help of Jason Gamble can be found in the Bee Observation Deck leading live hive tours and bee expert Chats. Prime Bees has a bee experience they can’t wait to share with you. Bee Mindful will show how bees can strengthen a community and help those around us. No BuzzFest is complete without queen larva…. and this year we dipping them in Creamed Chocolate Honey. YUM! Curious about beekeeping or have some hardcore beekeeping questions? Ask the best beeks in town! Texas Friendly Beekeepers will be smack dab in the middle of BuzzFest so you can easily catch the Buzz! Curious about new beekeeping gadgets? Check out the Show and Tell hosted by Texas Association of Professional Removers. Our Honey Tasting Hall will be full of sweet delights, teas from Broken Leaf Tea and Apothecary, and not least of all, Lone Star Bee Company – one of our favorite select honeys in Texas!

For the youngsters and those young at heart we will have author Lavelle Carlson leading story time with her new book, Bee, Honey Bunny and Me. Our bounce house and multiple water slides will keep them cool and moving!

Hocus Focus will be onsite to capture your best look in front of our unique Tara Leight Johnston Mural – Life is Sweet!

All this fun means you will be HUNGRY and we have a cure for that! Smoke Daddies BBQ, JLM Chicken and Waffles, Dapper Bear Seafood, Rum Cakes and Sweet Bakes, Emergency Sweet Truck, All Forces Jerky, and Karri’s Kreations Snacks will keep you fueled up for all the fun!
