Colton is a folk and honky-tonk singer-songwriter based out of the Brazos Valley. He grew up in the hill country around Kerrville and Fredericksburg, where he was exposed to an endless variety of cowboy singers, folkie field hippies, and open-air storytellers. Bringing this early exposure to the culture surrounding American roots music into the modern day while retaining its classic forms is only part of Colton’s musical mission – the other is to use this honest and straightforward style to tackle the complexity of the current human experience while celebrating the beauty of the world we live in.
