Calling all Honey Lovers and Creative Cooks! Our first annual Honey Cook Off is set! Every dish served must include honey, and have more honey in it than any other sweetener.
Your group may enter in as many competitions as you like:
Main Dish (entry $40.00)
Side Dish (entry $35.00)
Dessert (35.00)
Team Theme ($20.00)
Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st through 3rd place winners in each category. Amounts will be determined by the number of cooks and/or crowd size.
Honey Dish tasting wristbands are $25.00. Wristbands will get you a sample of each dish along with a tab to vote for your favorite in each category. Our WildFlyer Mead Co Tasting Room and Picnic area taps will be open to keep your whistle wet!
Our Honey Cook Off is proud to support Real Texas Honey (a nonprofit dedicated to education consumers about honey and supporting local beekeepers) and Grimes County Animal Shelter (a new and much needed county wide facility for homeless and abused animals). All profits from entries and tickets will support these two worthy organizations.
