Honey Cook Off

Your group may enter in as many competitions as you like:
Main Dish (entry $40.00)
Side Dish (entry $35.00)
Dessert (35.00)
Team Theme ($20.00)

Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st through 3rd place winners in each category. Amounts will be determined by the number of cooks and/or crowd size.

Honey Dish tasting wristbands are $25.00. Wristbands will get you a sample of each dish along with a tab to vote for your favorite in each category. Our WildFlyer Mead Co Tasting Room and Picnic area taps will be open to keep your whistle wet!

Our Honey Cook Off is proud to support Real Texas Honey (a nonprofit dedicated to education consumers about honey and supporting local beekeepers) and Grimes County Animal Shelter (a new and much needed county wide facility for homeless and abused animals). All profits from entries and tickets will support these two worthy organizations.

Chat with our special guest, Virginia. Virginia is our Texas Honey Queen and American Honey Princess! She KNOWS honey!

Event Hours: 11 AM – 8 PM
Food Tasting: 12 PM – 3 PM

Spend the day visiting with honey cooks, sampling their dishes, trying a variety of meads, and then see who the big winners are! Winners announced at 4 PM
