Walk of the Century: 5K Against Cancer

Join us on April 28th, 2024, at Lake Walk in Bryan, TX, for the first annual Walk of the Century: 5K Against Cancer. This event is a unique blend of competition, community and cause. Participants can choose to run in a timed heat, with bibs tracking their time and pace, or join the walkers’ heat to show solidarity by walking for loved ones. The day promises a fusion of activities including a kid-friendly zone with a bouncy house and “Mini-K” run, local live music, pop-up thrift / small business vendors, and food trucks, creating a festive atmosphere for all ages. It’s more than just a race; it’s a celebration of resilience and community spirit, with every step taken highlighting the fight against cancer and directly supporting young lives impacted by a family member’s diagnosis, through our partnership with Camp Kesem TAMU.
